Bike Racing
Posted on July 22nd, 2010 1 commentYou could say this is a mid-season reflection of sorts. I could not be happier with the team and all the support we have received this year between the management and sponsors.
This is my first year as a cat 2 and it was a big jump, although fairly smooth. I do have a lot to work on still but with all the experienced people that have surrounded me this season it has helped so much.
Ten things i have learned so far this season…
- Putting your shoes in the washer is ok, just add some other clothes or towels and they come out super clean.
- Take the extra pedal stroke or two to hold your position or move up, it saves a lot in the long run.
- Tegaderm is expensive.
- Tubasti glue is messy.
- Regular brake pads blow in the rain on carbon rims.
- Be thankful to host housing and you will be invited back.
- Hydrate…it actually does help.
- Great teammates are awesome and make racing so much more enjoyable.
- Be selfless.
- Be grateful, your racing a freaking bike.
